To celebrate the 100th cohort of barista graduates, City & Guilds, an UK leading vocational education organisation, had a crossover with YMCA College of Continuing Education, Threewoods Playwright & Ma Chai Sand Painting and successfully completed four sessions of the “coffee powder painting’’ culture performance at YMCA last weekend. During the performance, the audiences were not only able to experience the beauty of coffee powder painting but also were able to indulge themselves in the aroma of "Sweetness", "Bitterness", "Sourness" and "Love" of coffee through a romantic love story. Audiences had also learnt some knowledge of coffee at the same time.
The YMCA barista’s course instructor, Reeves Chung, one of the graduates of City & Guilds barista qualifications himself. Reeves is a certified trainer and accessor of City & Guilds Barista qualification and a certified judge in both the Hong Kong Barista Championship 2011- 2013 and Hong Kong Siphonist Championship 2012 - 2013. He is also the 2nd Runner Up of Coffee & Food Pairing Competition and one of the finalists in Hong Kong Barista Championship this year. Sand painting artist Ma Chai is a cross media artist. He leads a lifestyle that combined both performing arts and creativity. He also loves to share his experiences with others and is dedicated in nurturing new talents for the industry.
City & Guilds barista qualification is comparable to UK Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It exemplifies our qualifications are highly recognized by the stakeholders in the region. It also facilitates the learner's employment mobility via enhancing their skills, knowledge & competency.

YMCA咖啡课程导师Reeves Chung是City & Guilds咖啡调配师毕业生，亦是国际咖啡培训师课程认可的培训师及评审员，亦曾于多个咖啡师大赛及虹吸式咖啡师大赛中担任评审，更于本年度咖啡及食品并配比赛及香港咖啡大师赛分别获得第三名及第五名的殊荣。沙画师马颖章(马仔)是一位出色的艺术工作者，亦是一位艺术传道人。他喜爱与他人分享生命，交流种种处世智慧，在创作和培育人才方面亦不遗余力。
