The 2015 Guangzhou International Shopping Festival, a shopping and cultural entertainment extravaganza, arrives in the city in a few weeks. From September 29 through October 28, the annual shopping gala this year will feature Australia brands and rare animals, a light show and an original music party. Bargain hunters and fun lovers should be thrilled by it all!
The "Sydney Opera House" at the Grandview Mall
Australia is known for its farm and health products and fashion design. During the month-long festival, shoppers will find real bargains as nearly 100 original brands from Australia available: wine, health products, milk, honey, and beef, just to name a few. Where to find them? The following malls in Tianhe District are participating: Grandview Mall, Mopark, Happy Valley, POPARK, Grandbuy (Zhongyi Branch), EGO Digital Plaza, Tianyu Plaza, and OneLinkWalk.
Apart from the commodities, the festival will also present animal displays, cultural exhibitions with Australia themes, original designs, and cross-border e-commerce service. Visitors can catch a glimpse of black swans, cockatoos, kangaroos and some other rare Australian animals, without having to leave the city. At the same time, a 3D light show model featuring a miniature version of the Sydney Opera House will be visible at the front door of the Grandview Mall, adding a special Australian touch to the party.
Experience wild Australian football
Also during the festival, a fabulous light show in Australian style will be put on at Tianhe Road every night at 8 p.m. Theme music shows, balloon shows, arts and crafts exhibitions, and a themed book fair are among a series of cultural activities that will be found at Taikoo Hui, Book Center and Tee Mall.
Authentic Australian musical will be performed on stage at the opening ceremony. The Guangzhou Scorpion football club will offer a live demonstration of a wild Australian football game. Interested visitors will be welcome to join the game with the players on stage!
