An alien invasion? A new blue superhero? You’d be forgiven for assuming any of these things if you had spied several blue characters roaming around The Venetian® Macao as well as at popular sightseeing locations over the past few days.
Those fortunate enough to be present at the impromptu appearances had in fact caught a rare glimpse of legendary Blue Man Group performers out and about in the run-up to their shows at The Venetian Macao’s Venetian Theatre, which continue through until Aug. 28.
The world-famous, award-winning Blue Man Group members grabbed the public’s attention when they were first spotted commandeering a gondola at The Venetian Macao before making a break for town, where they entertained and interacted with crowds around the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macao and while some people were clearly mystified by what was going on, most took the opportunity to grab a few selfies and photos of the intriguing blue visitors.
Having performed their first show almost 25 years ago, Blue Man Group’s unique combination of science, comedy, music and vibrant visual effects means they have remained one of the world’s best-known and most popular acts. Audiences go on a fully immersive audiovisual journey complete with electrifying music, captivating technology, a sensational live band and signature interactive experiences.
The upcoming Macao shows are part of a new worldwide tour of the acclaimed show. To date, over 35 million people in more than 15 countries have seen one of the various Blue Man Group productions.
