Mandarin Oriental, Macau invites guests to enjoy an indulgent Christmas holiday between 24 and 27 December 2015 with a special rate starting from MOP 2,588. Guests booking through the hotel’s website are additionally entitled to a bottle of selected wine. The hotel also offers a wealth of festive delights, including scrumptious feasts, themed afternoon teas, traditional goodies, as well as stunning hampers of gourmet delicacies and the most popular spa products of all time, ensuring guests a truly remarkable celebration to remember.

At the hotel’s signature Vida Rica Restaurant, Dominique Bugnand, Director of Culinary Operations and Food & Beverage, transforms get-togethers into truly memorable occasions by offering a six-course dinner on Christmas Eve and a petite version of a four-course dinner on Christmas Day. Made using the finest seasonal produce from around the world, the dinner sets feature exquisite dishes such as duck liver mousse savarin with truffle jelly and Paris mushrooms, seared Hokkaido scallop with black truffle and crispy Iberico ham, and white chocolate mousse with wild strawberry sorbet. The menus are priced at MOP 1,288 and MOP 958 per person, respectively.

On New Year’s Eve, Chef Dominique presents a sumptuous seven-course dinner, allowing guests to bid farewell to 2015 in style. The menu, priced at MOP 1,488 per person, highlights a modern approach to classic French cuisine with dishes such as Alaskan crab meat with pepper-mint and crustacean consommé pearls, velvet foie gras soup with eryngii mushrooms and beetroot caviar, and licorice-glazed Boston lobster with girolle mushrooms and tarragon-raspberry vinaigrette. All festive menus offer a choice of wine pairing, and vegetarian options are available.

From 24 to 27 December 2015 and 1 to 3 January 2016, Vida Rica Bar presents a festive version of its well-liked tea time special, Afternoon Fantasy. Guests can enjoy spectacular views across Nam Van Lake towards Macau Tower whilst relishing a bountiful selection of chef’s signature sandwiches and desserts made on the spot, such as Boston lobster and gruyere cheese croque monsieur, grilled Wagyu beef tataki with cepe mushroom and charcoal squid ink bread, and black truffle macaroon. Priced at MOP 468 for two, Afternoon Fantasy also includes a choice of premium coffee, tea or hot Valrhona chocolate made with the guest’s preferred flavour.

Alternatively, high tea lovers who enjoy seeing and being seen may indulge in a daily afternoon tea at Lobby Lounge, which is located between the hotel lobby and the high-end One Central Macau shopping mall. From 1 December 2015 to 3 January 2016, a special Christmas selection including chicken with avocado and jalapeño pepper tartlet and choux puff with chocolate and cinnamon Chantilly is served. With a choice of freshly brewed coffee, fine tea or hot chocolate, the afternoon tea is priced at MOP 398 for two.

To satisfy guests’ gift-giving needs, Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop is offering the Deluxe Hamper and the Supreme Hamper, priced at MOP 2,988 and MOP 4,088, respectively. Both are filled with delightful treats, such as rum and dried fruitcake, Christmas stollen, wine, champagne and more. Guests can also create their own hampers to make their loved ones feel extra special. In addition, an inviting range of exquisite, delectable desserts, created by Executive Pastry Chef Sabastien Bernis, is available.

Three spa hampers—the Essential Relaxation Hamper, the Renew and Nourish Hamper and the Ultimate Skincare Hamper—are available at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Macau, providing elegant gifting options for guests to present to family and friends. Priced from MOP1,860 each, the hampers are packed with popular products and therapeutic delights.
