Li Na’s show up in Hengqin International Tennis Centre
There has been great speculation as to whether or not, Li Na would come to the Hengqin International Tennis Centre. Li Na is a global image ambassador of the WTA Elite Trophy and the leading figure in Chinese tennis, so her presence will be one of the highlights for the programme. The organizing committee claim today that, Li has already set an appointment and will be present in Zhuhai during the game period, to which she will be participating in several activities including the ‘tennis public class’, hosting meetings with fans and acting as the award ceremony presenter in the final games.
Li’s personal meeting will be arranged on November 7th in the outfield of the Hengqin International Tennis Centre. She will be gathering with fans and talking about several widely concerned issues, such as her playing-career and her current work and life. Li will host a ‘public tennis class’ among teenage players and lead teenagers to experience the fun of the tennis game. It has been confirmed that Li will act as the final game award presenter and most likely take the role of being a post-game host.
Game Watching and Recreation
WTA Elite Trophy, Zhuhai is one of the top three WTA games in China and it possesses a broad spectrum of audiences around the globe. It has been predicted to attract more tennis fans from peripheral cities and around the country than ever before.
The organising committee have planned a tennis carnival in order to enrich viewers’ experiences. The main aim is to hold a bountiful amount of exciting cultural activities that will last seven days. The whole carnival consists of four ‘thematic zones’ and five ‘thematic days’ targeting at audiences from different age groups.
Moreover, five training fields have been constructed and they serve for three amateur tennis games. A 4,000-square-metre amusement zone for children has introduced a national nurseling branded ‘Aiyingdao’, which will launch family games. There are even stage performances, cartoon cruises, sale promotions etc., bringing about memorable family times for the Zhuhai citizens.
A representative in the organising committee has stated,“We would attempt to build these multiplex carnival activities to be the featured programs for each WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai, making the Elite Trophy Zhuhai the most memorable tennis game among the audience”.
Features in Four Thematic Zones
It is said that four activity fields will be planned for audiences during the WTA carnival, such as the ‘world customs zone’, ‘energy & passion zone’, ‘recreational zone’ and ‘fun & warmth zone’.
The world customs zone is situated at the 5,000 seater central stadium, which is the main venue for all games, including both the opening and closing ceremony of the WTA carnival. Cheering squads will be performing at this zone during inter-changing of games, making both players from all over the world and viewers feel the game’s passion.
The ‘energy & passion zone’ is set at the 1,500 seater stadium and there are miscellaneous performances on the main stage, presenting exciting sensational enjoyment for all audiences.
The ‘recreational zone’ is located at the relaxation park, in which famous local bands would bring their shows and scrumptious beers and delicious food will be served here, which are provided for what is predicted to be a tremendous audience during the games. Interactive games for families and couples will be arranged in the ‘fun & warmth zone’, creating a family atmosphere. Here, participants will have the chance to obtain souvenirs.
Five Tailored Thematic Days
Five thematic days including LOVE DAY、FAMILY'S DAY、KID'S DAY、HUG DAY、YOUTH'S DAY. There thematic days will be targeted at audiences from diversified age groups from Nov. 3rd to 7th. LOVE DAY revolves around the theme of love, adding romantic elements into its environment, setting and presenting love song performances, flash mobs and etc. Admissive couples on that day would probably receive ‘surprises’, special souvenirs and relevant discounts on its consumption.
FAMILY’ S DAY on the 4th is centered on the theme of family, encouraging families to take part in games. Surprises will be prepared for lucky families, such as souvenirs and discounts on family food packages.
KID’S DAY on the 5th emphasises on children, which will set the place with more child related surprises.
HUG DAY on the 6th will shed lights on ‘caring for strangers’. A ‘Free Hug’ section is going to be set in populated areas and participants will get souvenirs or shopping discounts on site. A grand 5,000 hug activity will be launched in the central stadium, establishing connection and furthering closeness among the audience.
YOUTH’S DAY on the 7th will be themed with youth and energy, which employs dynamic elements. Audiences who dress in designated colors will get rewards and shopping discounts. Performances on site also display youthful spirits, including street dances and pop singing.
More to Explore on Wall Exhibition
An exhibition of Chinese and western paintings and photographs will be held on walls outside the WTA carnival, portraying mainstream artworks and photographs of Zhuhai’s local ecology and stadium construction.
Exhibition of Chinese and western mainstreaming artworks forms in the Flowing Art Museum, which depicts the development history of Chinese and western art. The western section will display 51 classic art pieces from the Age of Renaissance to cubism as well as the pop arts period. The Chinese section would contain 25 selective national treasured artworks from the past dynasties. This intends to get the audience closer to the contemporary daily lives by putting into perspective how different/difficult their ancestors lives were.
The Zhuhai local photograph gallery is organised by the Zhuhai Photographer Association which revolves around the city ecology and its creatures. This collection will be of over 60 pieces of work. This gallery would share a great opportunity for photography lovers and feast viewers with the splendor of miscellaneous natural things. Its purpose is to educate people with environmental care and conservation. In addition, a special section about the construction of Hengqin International Tennis Center will be included, sharing the marvelous process of the venue’s completion.
