Marco Polo Shenzhen launched the 2016 Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the hotel’s lobby on 30th November 2016. The event began with Mr. Christoph Hoeflich, the hotel’s general manager’s welcome speech and lighting bell ringing at 6:45 PM. Moreover, the kids’ choir from Nanshan International School performed excellently to heat the hall up, there are more than 80 kids participated in the choir, as well as their crew. Many instruments have been played during the performance, such as drums, flutes, piano, trumpets and many. The fantastic combination of lighting, diversified instruments and singing created a new impression of Christmas events for many attended guests. Furthermore, the Santa Claus appeared with gifts under the spotlight and the interactive quiz session seemed to bring out the festive ambience and joy to corporate clients, business partners, hotel guests, media and everyone who attended the event.
After the lighting ceremony was done, the invited guests were led to the Lobby Lounge to participate in the Christmas cocktail party and Santa Claus’s gifts distribution. Furthermore, something special need to be mentioned here, the Christmas Lighting Ceremony was broadcasted on Live via many mainstream sites, such as Sina, Sohu, Tencent, Tianya, etc. There were more than 56,000 viewers watched this event online. This is the first five - star hotel in Shenzhen that uses Live Broadcast to promote Christmas Lighting Ceremony.
