The Dandelion and Stamen photographic series, in which plants have pride of place, are the product of a creative encounter between the photographer Isabelle Chapuis and the botanical artist Duy Anh Nhan Duc. Plant life is elusive in Dandelion, with its fly-away wisps; and colour-rich in Stamen, with its iris and chrysanthemum petals. The plants at the heart of these two original creations bringing a poetic, ephemeral beauty to the portraits and still lifes. The four-handed composition shows how two highly creative artists can intertwine and mutually feed off the same source of inspiration.
About Isabelle Chapuis
Cotton, smoke, powder, frost, candyfloss, plants – all materials that Isabelle Chapuis re-interprets in her photography. In constant search of organic metamorphosis, emotion is the driving force behind her creative approach, and human nature lies at the heart of her work. After several years abroad, taking inspiration from new environments, she won a number of prizes that have made her known to a broader public. Her work is regularly shown in galleries and institutions, including the National Library of France, the Bettina Gallery in Paris, the Château des Adhémar Contemporary Art Centre in Montélimar, Snap! in the United States, and La Galerie – Paris 1839 in Hong Kong.
About Duy Anh Nhan Duc
Dandelion, poppy, maple, clover, lichen, sunflower, lotus , magnolia ... many wonders of nature reign supreme on the creations of the botanical artist Duy Anh Nhan Duc. His work shows nature with all its fragility and invite us to take a different look on plant kingdom with more attention and sensitivity. The inspiration that he draws from plant observations, he transposes it in a very personal narrative, carried by a philosophy where every sculpture and every fresco becomes a source of reminiscence loaded with emotions. « Through my creations, I try to capture the unique allure of natural vegetation. All is excuse to tell stories and to honor plant kingdom.» Duy Anh Nhan Duc exhibited in Paris at Colette, at the Parc Floral, at the Museum en Herbe, and in Hong Kong at Gallery Paris 1839. Now he is preparing two solo-shows. First at Gallery Bettina in Paris on November 2016 and next on June 2017 at the Art Center of Chateaugiron in Brittany.

"蒲公英/雄蕊"是摄影师伊莎贝尔•莎蓓以及植物造型师杜伊•安•南•杜克共同创作的一系列作品，呈现出对植物的敬仰。“蒲公英”无法扑捉，飘忽不定；“雄蕊”颜色鲜亮，菊花和鹜尾绽放美丽的花瓣。植物令肖像光彩耀人，静物展现的是短暂如诗的美。 两位创意艺术家的四手联弹，从同样的植物中汲取灵感，创作出彼此穿插和补充的组合。蒲公英流露出一股轻柔的童年旋律。在他面前，我们被一个普通的意愿抓住：只有一个念头，吹口气，看到成千像降落伞的蒲公英颗粒飞起。

棉花，烟雾，粉尘，雾 ，棉花糖，植物……艺术家伊莎贝尔•莎蓓在她的摄影作品中重新阐释这些材质；她不停寻找器官的变化，情感是她创作过程中的动力，人类是她工作的重心。国外的生活经历让她对另外的现实产生灵感。她获得过众多知名奖项，作品常在各种画廊、机构展出，其中包括法国国家图书馆，巴黎贝蒂娜画廊，蒙特利马尔的阿代马尔酒庄现代艺术中心，美国SNAP空间以及香港的巴黎1839画廊。

蒲公英，罂粟，槭树，三叶，地衣，向日葵，荷花…这么多自然界奇妙的植物，统治造型艺术家杜伊•安•南•杜克的创作。通过他的作品，我们能够揭开自然界脆弱的一面，邀请我们用敏感而不同的方式去审视他们。灵感来自对植物的观察，艺术家把它重新撰写在一部很私人的叙述中， 借助哲学在每个雕塑，每个壁画中成为充满感情的源泉。他的作品曾经在巴黎科莱特，巴黎早根博物馆及香港的巴黎1839画廊展出。2016年11月和2017年6月，他将分别在巴黎贝蒂娜画廊及在布列塔尼半岛的沙托吉龙艺术中心举办个人展。
