“Experience Awesome” with Blue Man Group at The Venetian Macao’s Venetian Theatre from Aug. 11 to 28, 2016
A host of Hong Kong and Macao celebrities were at the opening night of Blue Man Group in Macao today, where along with the audience they got to experience one of the craziest, funniest and most entertaining performances ever.
This is the first time the Blue Man Group has performed in China, with Macao the first stop. The world-famous, award-winning show will run until Aug. 28 at The Venetian® Macao’s Venetian Theatre.
Attending the Blue Man Group Opening Night were Hong Kong and Macao artists Bob Lam, Tang Chi Wai, Benedict Chong, Ryan Lau, Siu Fay among other stars. The famous character “BiBi Chili” from Macao online hit media Manner even made a surprise appearance on the ‘blue carpet’.
Having performed their first show almost 25 years ago, Blue Man Group’s unique combination of science, comedy, music and vibrant visual effects means they have remained one of the world’s best-known and most popular acts. Audiences go on a fully immersive audiovisual journey complete with electrifying music, captivating technology, a sensational live band and signature interactive experiences.
Actor, director and host of Hong Kong, Fire Lee was blown away by the Blue Man Group performance. “It was just great! And what makes it so special is the audience participation. Even though Blue Man Group performers don’t speak, they manage to communicate brilliantly with the crowd. The audience becomes an actual part of the show. The whole thing is just super entertaining.”
The upcoming shows in Macao are part of a new worldwide tour of the acclaimed show. Blue Man Group is a unique comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party rolled into one, which performs to sellout crowds around the world including extended seasons in Las Vegas. To date, over 35 million people in more than 15 countries have seen one of the various BLUE MAN GROUP productions.
