One of the precious masterpieces in the exhibition of “A Painter-Traveller on the South China Coast”, which is part of Le French May 2016 programmes, the painting offers a vivid glimpse into the folk life of Macau in the mid-19th century. The painting design is spread across four mooncake boxes of different flavours that are nestled in a silk gift box decorated with Chinese lattice window panels. The hotel’s skilled Chinese culinary team, under the helm of Chinese Executive Chef Wong Tak Wing, has handcrafted mooncakes with time-honoured traditional flavours including double egg yolk with white lotus paste, sweet pastry with egg custard, five kernel with Yunnan ham, and a new flavour pandan paste with double egg yolk, adding a delightful tropical taste to the Chinese delicacy.
