Recently, Langham Place, Guangzhou held a pink-themed afternoon tea oil painting class in cooperation with art social platform, "LAF", at Alfresco, the hotel’s outdoor restaurant on Floor 4, for urbanites who enjoy combining socialising and art.
Students wearing outfits with pink elements learned the basics of painting at sunny Alfresco, with its glass roof and natural lighting. Miss Huang, a graduate of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, introduced and taught the students how to paint two masterpieces, Picasso's “Pink Girl” and Graham's "A Ramble After Rainfall”. Students got to choose one masterpiece to paint. With guidance from the teacher and her assistant, they were able to indulge their creative side and experience art at its finest.
The hotel provided a special pink afternoon tea break for the students including pink macarons, pink cupcakes and a series of pink desserts with healthy floral and fruit tea. Students savoured a British-style afternoon tea reminiscent of nobility while enjoying an overlooking view of Pazhou, which looked as beautiful as a traditional freehand brushwork Chinese painting.
After a whole afternoon of painting, students got to take home their masterpieces and left with a lot of wonderful memories.
近日，广州南丰朗豪酒店携手艺术社交平台“LAF艺友范”在酒店4层“炉烧”户外餐厅举办了一场粉红主题的下午茶油画课堂，为热爱生活的都市人群们，带来了艺术氛围浓郁的休闲社交方式。
学员们身着各式时尚的粉红元素，在半户外明亮轩敞的“玻璃房子”里，和油画进行了一次亲密接触的灵动体验。此次的油画作业是毕加索的《粉红少女》和格雷厄姆的《雨后漫步》。毕业于广州美术学院的当代艺术家黄老师，对学员们进行了现场油画教学，及分享两幅名作的艺术背景；然后学员们自主选择一幅教学作品进行作画，与老师和其他助教一起学习绘画技巧、发表对艺术的体会、亲身感受创作的魅力。
酒店为学员们提供了特色粉红下午茶茶歇，让大家在绘画间隙边畅享高颜值的精致美味，边远瞰写意的琶洲美景。粉红色的马卡龙、纸杯蛋糕以及一系列粉色甜品，香醇清甜的花果茶；同时搭配英伦风的茶歇摆设，更显下午茶的雅致与高贵。优雅地度过一个周末下午后，学员们都带回一副自己完成的油画作品，做回一个真正的都市精神贵族。
