关于沈少民
1956年生于中国黑龙江省，现生活，工作于中国北京和澳大利亚悉尼。作为国际著名当代艺术家他的作品主要以装置艺术、影像艺术、以及观念绘画等创作为主。作品曾参加过一些有重要影响力的双年展：第17届悉尼双年展；首届基辅双年展；利物浦双年展；釜山双年展；广州三年展；上海双年展等。也曾在世界各地举办过个人展览。作品被很多博物馆，美术馆，大学，基金会和个人收藏。影片《我是中国人》在第17届悉尼双年展、乌克兰基普双年展、意大利佛罗伦萨美术馆、南京当代艺术三年展、北京电影学院等播映。影片《一个和尚的寺庙》在北京青年电影周、香港阳光卫视、澳亚艺术中心等播映。
About Shen Shaomin
Born in Heilongjiang province, China, 1956. Works and lives in Beijing, China and Sydney, Australia. Originally trained as a printer during the Cultural Revolution, throughout the last 20 years Shen has forged an important international career. Shen has presented work across the US, Europe, China and Australia including the 17th Biennale of Sydney; the first Kiev Biennial; Liverpool Biennial; Busan Biennial, Korea; Guangzhou Triennial; Shanghai Biennale etc. His works have been collected by many art museums, universities, foundations and private collectors.
